What you do when the right answer costs you something.
A scenario-based CPD programme, in development, about what a professional does when the right answer costs them something: a client, a fee or the goodwill of someone senior.
The work is not wrong, exactly. You would not want to explain it.
A senior colleague’s instruction sits badly with the code you both work under.
The engagement is attractive and slightly outside what you are competent to do.
You have raised it once, and nothing has changed.
Accountancy, legal, engineering, actuarial and governance bodies, and any body whose code asks members to exercise judgement. It can be written to a body’s own code.
Many professional bodies make ethics CPD compulsory every year. A course that restates the code meets the requirement. A scored scenario shows whether a member can apply it.
Each part will open on a situation a practitioner would recognise. Every scenario will be reviewed by a specialist in the subject before release.
The learner chooses what to do, and the choice is scored against what a careful professional would do. There is no answer to look up.
Each learner leaves with a record of the decisions they made, which says more than a certificate of attendance.
The method is already live in AI for Professional Practice. Module 1 is open to anyone, takes about twenty minutes and needs no sign-up. Try Module 1, or see the other titles in the library.
Ethics for Professional Practice is in development. The interest each title draws helps decide which one is built next, so yours counts. We will write once, when it is ready.
