Scenario Design Sprint

The part of scenario work the authoring tool can't do.

Your team can turn a document into a course in an afternoon. What no tool does is write the dilemma, decide which of the defensible choices is right, and defend that answer key to a subject expert. That is the Sprint: two weeks, one module you have already sold, and a design pack anyone can build from.

What a Sprint page looks like

One decision, laid out the way every decision is.

The situation as the learner meets it, the choices, the tag and score each one carries, the answer key's reasoning, and what follows on screen. This is page 3 of 12 from the module we built ourselves.

Sample storyboard page from a Scenario Design Sprint: one scored decision from Module 1, showing the situation, three choices with tags and scores, the answer key rationale and the presenter lines

Then judge the finished thing: Module 1 is open, about twenty minutes, no sign-in.

What two weeks delivers

A design pack your team, or anyone, can build from.

  • The dilemma set. Twelve storyboard pages like the one above: situations that are hard rather than obviously wrong, and choices that are each defensible on a bad day.
  • The answer key and tag table. A score and a two-line reason under every choice, and the tag that shows the learner what they put first, ready for your subject expert to sign.
  • The build specification. Branches, scoring, presenter lines, captions and the build notes your developers need.
  • A fixed production quote. If you want us to build it. You are under no obligation to take it.
How it runs

Ten working days, mostly ours.

  • Day 1. Kick-off call with you and your subject expert.
  • Days 2 to 5. First draft of the dilemma set and answer key.
  • Day 6. Review session by video call.
  • Day 7. Your comments back.
  • Days 8 and 9. Second draft, build specification and quote.
  • Day 10. Handover. The pack is yours on payment.
Who it is for

Teams with a module to ship and nobody available to design it.

LEARNING COMPANIES

A module already sold

A client is waiting for a scenario module and your designers are on three other projects.

ACADEMIES

An academy to fill

A corporate or sector academy that needs scenario modules faster than anyone in-house can design them.

FRAMEWORK HOLDERS

Overflow design

A framework or panel contract with a long build calendar. White label: your name on the module.

CONTENT OWNERS

Expertise, no format

Deep subject knowledge and a policy, and no one to turn it into decisions a learner has to make.
